Curiosity and fun shouldn’t be an afterthought. They are the whole point

Kids get mail before camp even starts. They are sucked into the story and magic of the week before they’ve packed their bag for Monday.

Our 10-year-old participated in two Kaper Kids Canva workshops and absolutely loved them. Crystal is a fun and knowledgeable teacher who adapts her teaching to each child’s skill level and learning style

Our daughter was excited to work on her project every week, even continuing at home without any prompting. We were all so impressed with the final product she created by the end of the session.

Two Ways to Kaper

Because no two kids want the same adventure.

Both are in-person in the Comox Valley. One is theme-based adventure camps and the other is weekly sessions building skills kids are genuinely proud of.

Kaper kids Inc is a partner of the Town of Comox and registration for all programs is through their website.

Learning Lab

Designed for homeschoolers, hybrid learners, and after-school curious kids!

Kids learn real skills — magazines, cartoons, storytelling, or math puzzles.

They look like fun; because they are.

But underneath? We’re teaching problem-solving, creativity, and how to finish what they start.

Create a Magazine — Learn in a real printshop

Animate a Cartoon — Publish your own animation

Math Lab — Problem-solving based in puzzles

Story Adventures —Non-traditional language and story building skills

Two girls working on Kaper Kits

Every child deserves to be seen for who they are. Future astronauts, painters, adventurers, or quiet thinkers.

As parents, we know the feeling we get at drop-off: “Will they be okay once I leave?”

At Kaper Kids we design every experience so kids aren’t “just okay here”—they can’t wait to come back.

The Kaper Kids Experience

Skills They’ll Brag About

Kids don’t just do activities—they solve real challenges. From cracking code-lock puzzles to animating in Canva, they plan, test, troubleshoot, and finish. Then they take it home and brag about it

Safe Enough to Try

We create an environment where kids feel comfortable enough to try, mess up, problem-solve, and try again. High support, real coaching. From the start of camp to publishing their own cartoon—whatever it is—we coach them to the finish.

Find Their People

We don’t just “group” kids—we build a team. Quiet thinkers and curious creators are both essential. Kids collaborate, share ideas, and rely on each other.  No one gets picked last when they are hanging out with us

Meet CRYSTAL

I spent almost 2 decades in a nuclear lab, federal politics and earning a master's degree in communication. I left it all because kids are more interesting.

Kaper Kids is built for the kids who take forever to start, and also for the ones who blaze through everything — fast and on fire.
